Q: What are guilds for?
A: Every Guild has a safe room that you should sleep in. Not only is this "Safe room" prevent people from killing or stealing while your there it also is a "HealFast" room, meaning you will get more mana and hp per tic.

Q: Where do I raise levels at?
A: Type HELP MAP and locate the room titled Adv. Hall, and go there. The room name should be: Dragonia Hall of Shame  (5n 1w 2n from temple yard) then type "raise level"

Q: How do I practice my skills?
A: Skills train by use and "practice sessions" have been disabled. You can check how far your skills have gone by typing: eval. You can see what rank means what by typing: HELP SKILLS or HELP EVAL.

Q: Where do I find water and food?
A: 3 north from TY is a fountain, and 3 north 1 east of TY is a baker that sells waybread and such.

Q: How do I buy stuff?
A: type: list to see what he sells then buy whatever you want, i.e. if you wanted waybread type: buy waybread.

Q: How do I change my race?
A: type HELP TABLE to see the differences in races. then go 5n 1e 2s (all directions are usually given from Temple Yard) to reach "Doctor Kevorkian" use the command: race followed by your choice of race to change. i.e if you wanted to be an elf type race elf. You can always change your race later but it will cost exp and gold.

Q: Where is the Newbie Zone?
A: 8n 1e

Q: What is "con"?
A: typing con (short for consider) will take your level and compare it with a monster: If it says Are you MAD?!? dont even try youll get killed. type HELP CON to see what means what!

Q:What is an Alias?
A: Aliases are used to shorten what you type to do something. So if you had an alias for kick called k youd only have to type k goblin instead of kick goblin. Aliases are rather complicated but are essential for saving yourself a hell of alot of time. Type HELP ALIAS for more help.

Q: What are the rules for player killing?
A: Player killing IS allowed and there are no real rules.  Though it is usually frowned upon to kill someone of your own class, and it is definetly frowned upon if you "loot" the person you killed or if you just loot someone corpse that you find. Don't be surprised if you never level again if you loot someone..

Q: What is "hoarding exp" and why would I?
A: When you gain enough exp to level you dont HAVE to. You can save it up. Some mobs give you a certain amount of exp like say 30k when you kill them.  If you level killing the same mob would be considered "easier" and so gives you only 25k.  Though in my oppinion hoarding exp does no good till you get around lv20 so dont bother..

Q: Why Can't I Gossip ?!?
A: You have to be lv2 to gossip.

Q: How do i auction?
A: Use AUC command to auction or bid on an item.

Q: HELP!! I can't quit!
A: You must quit inside Dragonia or another town to prevent losing all your eq!

A: Linkless is when a player loses his connection to the MUD. Attacking or killing linkless people is frowned upon.

Q: Where is the Donation room and what is it?
A: People often donate items and they go directly to either their hometown donation room or Dragonia. You can often find some good newbie items there. Directions: 5n 1e 1n

Q: What are best lists and where can i find them?
A: They are a measurement of who trains or has done the most in that area: like best pkiller shows who has the most pk's. best pkiller best mkiller best drinker best corpse lists may be viewed at "Filthy's bar and brew" directions: 1n 3e 1n 1w

Q: What is alcohol used for?
A: Drinking alchol restores hp and mana and is one of the biggest tools for newbies to use.

Q: What is a Quest?
A: A Quest is a task a god will ask players to complete.  The fastest player to complete it will be rewarded. DO NOT PESTER GODS FOR QUESTS!! Quests are rare on purpose so that the prize will be good, if quests where common place the prize would be crappy!

Q: What is the difference between playing time and age?
A: Age is when your character was created in real life time.  Your char ages regardless wether he logs on or not.  Playing time is actual time played. An hour of playing the MUD translates into one hour of playing time. You can FINGER a player to see their playing time. As a general rule chars with more playing time are deadlier then ones with higher levels.

Q: What are hometowns and how do I join one?
A: Hometowns are a lot like clans, its a community of players who look out for each other and have their own channel to talk on.  Ask players to let you in their towns and get to know people in them. TOWNS ARE FOR PK! DO NOT JOIN A TOWN IF YOUR GOING TO WHINE ABOUT BEING ATTACKED BY SOMEONE FOR BEING IN THAT TOWN!!

Q: What is a Reset?
A: When a god feels like the MUD has been up long enough they will perform a "reset" this means everything will go back to its original location. So if you left something on the ground it will be gone after a reset. Often times items are "one per reset" so if your on during a reset start grabbing eq! Especially rome soldiers they have good newbie EQ.  EQ IN YOUR INVENTORY will remain their on a reset.

A: Town Guards assist mobs that are under attack, NEVER attack a mob when city guards are near, or be ready to retreive your corpse.

Q: I see a portal how do I use it?
A: type portal town and it will bring you back to temple yard. If the portal was created by a mage type enter portal.

Q: Can I have more then one char?
A: YES but just dont more then one at the same time or you will be jailed (stuck in a room unable to do anything until a god lets you out)

Q: What is an arena and what would i use it for?
A: You can enter the arena by going to temple yard and GIVING 200 COINS ARENAMASTER then go 2n. You can kill someone in the arena and they wont really die, they will just repop in temple yard with one hp. The arena is a good place to test your skills without any risks. IT IS considered cheating by most to use potions or alcohol in the Arena unless agreed on beforehand!

Q: What is ANSI color?
A: If you are using a client like zMUD or simpleMU you can view Darklord in color by typing COLOR COMPLETE.

Q: What does it mean when it says !MAGE or !NEUTRAL?!?
A: When an exclamation mark appears before a word that means its anti-that i.e. !MAGE means mages can not use that item. !THIEF would mean it was not wearable by thieves. If you try to wear something your not allowed to you will be "Zapped" by that eq.

Q: How do i change my alignment?
A: Killing good mobs will turn you evil and killing evil mobs will turn you good. It is VERY HARD to stay good or evil align so dont worry about it till your a higher level!

Q: What are houses and how do i get one?
A: A house cost 4million coins and you have to ask a god to make you one. Houses are good because you can leave items in them and when a reset comes they will still be their when you come back.

Q:What does !RENT mean?
A: That means if you log off with it in your inventory it will be gone. Most keys are !RENT, as are some rare pieces of eq.

Q: What happens when you die?
A: Your corpse stays where it falls, you repop in temple yard with 1 hp. You also lose exp based on level. lv1-20 dying is no big deal when you get to a higher level dying means you lose like a million exp points.
