Feb 25th 2004 - Updates.. I updated the best lists.. Sith got an admin account on the site so he can add news and chance stuff here. Brutus is working on some site improvements - hopefully it will attract new players to Darklord. - Viking Feb 15th 2004 - Quest Dragonia and zones nearby was invaded by orcs and goblins and their leader the Avatar of War in todays big quest created by Sith. To kill the avatar 4 crystal shards had to be found and given to the mystic. The shards were on the queen of the driders, the witch of shadow wood, the balrog, and the queen of cards. A group of 8 (Elis, Xar, Seth, Shadowfury, Ping, Thieftwo, Mvp and Viking) managed to get the shards and kill the Avatar and get his 8 pieces of legendary eq. The eq stats can be found by searching for Legendary. A great quest - took several hours to complete. Lets hope Sith will make more quests like it. - Viking Jan 26th 2004 - New stuff Sith and Mogwai are working on darklord again, so there are quite a few new things. I´ll try to list them here: First, darklord changed host. Its now darklord.silverden.com 5000. 3 new zones are in. Dwarven Realms, Lloths Peak, White Lotus Temple. Movement cost changed so terrain type affects it. Number of summoned elementals reduced for mages and clerics. Vampires won't thirst for water but for blood. Session command added. Score, toggle, finger and consider redone. Some kind of autoquest system in. Still waiting for quests.. Alignment changes faster - harder to stay neutral. House cleanup - new item and guest limits.. Delay on devour and drain. - Viking Jan 26th 2004 - Site back.. I'm back to play / idle, and I cleaned up the website a little. If anyone wants to help me clean up the eq database or add news when something interesting happens, let me know... - Viking Nov 13th 2002 - Addlers Frenzy! Well, Addler finaly resurrected from his long sleep! In a crazed frenzy he literaly "brought forth the very bowels of Hell!" It was a pure slaughterhouse down there! Many a player fell to the fury and rage of the spawn from hell. Few survived the onslaught, but those who did, could tell absurd stories about equipment never before seen... equipment that would make brother turn on brother, in order to obtain! Enjoy! - MaDMaX Jun 8th 2002 - Rasputin's New Spell Changes Well, many new spell changes have been made. Some for better, some for worse. Templars got a sanc downgrade, but also got a heal upgrade. Mages and clerics got the spell 'Dispel Magic'. Summon can now be used to summon players resisting if trained high enough. Bless is now worth using, and many other spells also. On the detracting side, all spells are now taken into account in the average, whether they are on the eval list or not. They must also now be on the eval list just to be used. Templars can forget spells, although no one has been able to find the place to relearn. There have been many other changes, be sure to check on the motd and temple yard board to see them! - Excalibur May 9th 2002 - Clans After years of hard work. Mog has finnaly added in clans. They will most likely deactivate towns and make them open zones. So far they are looking great and seem flawless. There are still a few features being toggled with at this time, but we will see them in the near future. Good work mog, i speak for all of Darklord when i say, thanx man, and well done again :) - Excalibur Apr 13th 2002 - Chatter Well, I was going to post some news on here about the easter quest. But I did not have access to this site at the time and its pointless posting it now. Anyways Grats to Paylay, Brutus, and Laurana on wining that. I also noticed after a long absance viking at least visited the page today a matter of fact. Im sure im not the only one wondering, Where ya been Viking? We miss ya man, I'd love to see ya come back. - Excalibur Apr 12th 2002 - darklordmud.tk :) - Viking Apr 6th 2002 - Attention When submitting new logs, please place NO spaces in the log name. If this is done it seems to mess up the system. Thats why most of the logs submitted are never accepted. So from now on make sure the file name has no spaces. Thanks. - Brutus Jan 26th 2002 - New Zone Today Datalore has opened yet another new zone. As of now, no one has been able to locate it. For more information, read post 101 on Temple Yard board. - Brute - Brutus Jan 25th 2002 - Removing bugged EQ Finaly something major happens at DL! The gods have now desided to fight bugged eq, and get rid of it, once and for all. (read post 100 ty board) On the other hand this might not be too bright an idea, since dl is all about eq. If ppl doesnt train, they try to get eq, since eq is the most important thing for a char. Do new solutions have to be found? Will players leave dl? - MaDMaX Old news
